An Important Note to Teachers is a highly recommended article to read before this one, and can be found in PSI Archives under Reality Teaching.
At a certain point, the human being, after studying, learning, indulging in their eagerness till it runs out, can find themselves bored, tired, and 'fed-up' of the supposed same old, repeating notions. This can easily be the case with certain human beings who have come to the understanding the basic gist of the spiritual teaching, the teaching of life, the teaching of the spirit etc., because, it is no coincidence that these teachings can often be seemingly repeating and exhaustively repetition-based which in large part has to do with the counter-drumming of the religious influence on earth mankind. However, an important element of this train of thought must be identified because on one hand, it is indeed the truth that these teachings can appear to be monotonous, long-winded, and indeed, repeating itself over and over again. It is true that one can even say that by studying one book of spiritual teaching doctrine that it is completely unnecessary to study the others and, certainly, based on the consciousness and spiritual development, it is fully possible the human being no longer needs these specific doctrines and can go about learning on their own without them as long as they desire to find Creation and understand its laws and directives which courses through all things in all times, places and spaces.
On the other hand, it can also be possible that such thinking can also lead to an overall-arrogance in regards to learning because truly, the entire existence can in a manner of speaking, be considered a repeat. Surely, one wakes up and sleeps every day as they also eat, study, play, learn, cry, laugh and so forth, over and over again. This goes even further because the reincarnation is exactly as the word describes, and indeed, a repeat, thus what is gained in one life is constantly being renewed and repeated in new angles. Truly, the entire existence is a repetition but only the wise know that nothing is truly ever the same and, even if the words and terms do not change, their consciousness development certainly has, and so, there is always something to learn even from the most basic and rudimentary of doctrines if the thinking is adjusted to always be open to learning and receiving something new and making this collected knowledge into stored wisdom.
Therefore the idea that one can never attain, learn or produce anything of value from that which is old solely remains a personal perception rather than the entirety of reality, for surely, learning and being open to always learning is first and foremost a self-created state; therefore, self-generated thinking and feeling. Naturally, as is the case with schools, moving from grade 2 to grade 7 as an example and so forth, the studying only of old knowledge can become burdensome and suffer diminishing returns which is why it must be said that the knowledge, the doctrines, the teachings, the sciences, the understanding of the universe and Creation must constantly be revised, updated, improved, clarified, explained in greater detail and understanding so that greater cognition, knowledge, love and wisdom is built relative to the attained overall consciousness and spiritual development and evolution.
However, this process can only be achieved by both a modesty and a thirst for knowledge which can only come firstly from the self-generated thinking. Nevertheless, all doctrines of the current times and that of the past, which indeed may seem 'advanced', high-brow, highly intellectually and spiritually stimulating will indeed one day wither in its impact which is precisely why upgrades, refinement and improvements must always be made. However, even with these improvements, it is still a repeat of the old which adds to the timeless spirit-logic unfolding in the material man's understanding. As an example, horses were once used as main transportation before this was eventually changed to standard automobiles yet both of these are in essence, the same thing - transport, and thus, a repeat.
This also applies to all teachings, doctrines, sciences, etc. which are of course truth-based and reality-based teachings and educations. The core essence of education fundamentally remains the same throughout all times and ages but its form and capabilities are constantly refreshed, renewed and improved as is also the case with the reincarnation and spiritual evolution. The human being constantly uses human bodies and various material consciousnesses in order to bring about the collecting-growing-swelling of the overall-spiritual evolution; thus a repeat, albeit, in a new form. Again, the positive and negative balance are always at work so while the old is essentially timeless, so is also the new, and so, there truly is no cut-off point where this actually ends save from the humanly-ungraspable forms of the Absolute Absolutums, specifically, the ZEIN-Absolute-Absolutum which would appear to human-thinking brains as no longer 'learning' in a human sense, but rather, collecting, transforming and absorbing.
Yet if one is to practice a modesty and bring down that which is higher into practicality then one will see, in a manner of speaking, the ZEIN-Absolute-Absolutum is truly the form of arrival at the success, the victory, the completion, and is simply just in the act of streamlined-doing. What is to be said here is that the human being can also see this in their own practical and lower thinking as can be an example with, after failing tests repeatedly, the human being eventually scores a perfect and passes with flying colors. Same also applies to a driver who, at first, is scared, cautious, anxious and nervous with driving a car but eventually it becomes second nature and inevitably, a relative mastery to simply get in the car, start the ignition and drive. Relative perfection is precisely as the phrase describes; relative, which means there are points where a certain level of perfection is attained and achieved and in that current moment, time era or period, nothing greater or necessarily better, can come about nor is it needed that better comes about because it would suffer diminishing returns.
The understanding of positive and negative as the duality-bi-polarity of natural existence is critical to comprehending repetition and respecting its need because only through this can the human being both respect and overcome their limitations. Evolution is a slow, long, hard process that takes millions upon millions of lifetimes, each lifetime filled with its own challenges and mistakes in thousand-fold variations, each variation necessary to study, practice and work out. While it may even appear situations and circumstances may be the same, such can never be the case because as a rule, nothing in the physical universe ever stays exactly the same despite similarities which means if one is always like a child; a student, always open to learning and receiving, then he/she will identify even the minute of changes counter to the arrogant thinker who believes they've already been there and done that.
Further clarification is however demanded from this last statement that no misunderstandings can come about because as previously mentioned, there are indeed plateaus where the human being must venture away from in order to continue their learning and evolution. However, these plateaus are generally less to do with external influences and more to do with internal thinking. It is completely possible a relatively advanced human being can learn from seemingly primitive circumstances and educations though it is of course a greater benefit if greater knowledge and education is available to them. Nevertheless, it must also be added that such is also the truth that not everyone needs the exact same doctrines, teachings, experiences and so forth because Creation reveals itself to the human being here, there, and truly, anywhere, if the desire is within the human being to find it.
There is also more to add to this equation, and that is concerning and often the case with relatively-intelligent human beings whose intelligence can ironically become a blockade to their further learning and advancement. Such is the case when such human beings are able to gather conclusions based on hypothetical equations, analysis, intuition and a combination of other factors which can lead to a sense of knowing, and, if pushed hard enough, can become so conclusive that the human being blocks out any further possibilities from a certain circumstance, situation etc. Naturally, there is a time and a place where one can be absolutely certain in regards to their knowledge but the scope of this particular matter is pointed at the lack of openness and respect to the infinitely changing nature of the universe; particularly the material realm which is subject to the becoming and the passing, the endless change, and so, is always providing new knowledge, experience, wisdom, love etc. in infinite variables.
Subject to this constant renewal and change means subject to constantly new, despite visible and analytical similarities. This is a fact that requires exhaustive study and reflection, and, based on the individual's thinking, can bring change for better or worse. Again, the two factors of both internal and external influence is at play. Human beings who seek to bring their evolution to another level will naturally find the possibilities, teachers, circumstances etc. in order to bring about bringing them to higher stages. Nevertheless, the entire subject matter of repeating is truly a study of the positive-negative-polarity-balance which if understood and respected, brings absolute clarity, peace, security, patience and understanding to the evolution as a whole.
