In our own modern day and age when the word courage is heard or read, a certain person comes to mind, mostly a soldier, military figure, political leader etc. In my opinion, many of these people are truly not courage by any means.
One does not need in any way to kill, murder, rob, steal, violently overthrow, or slander his fellow human being in order to show courage. In fact, this in turn shows cowardice and lack of rational thinking. We have seen throughout the centuries man killing man over power, wealth, and greed. We call many of these young men brave and courageous, and in some cases of self-defense this could be true. In most cases, however, these people had the choice to not fight, and to lay down their arms and resolve this conflict with a rational conversation. But these people with their weak consciousness, lack of wisdom, and cowardice, instead went along with the popular opinion.
Only in some cases do we have the outliers who put down the sword & shield, refuse the bribes, or speak the truth in the face of fear and ridicule. The one person that comes to mind who has shown true courage in past times is a man named Jmmanuel (Jesus Christ).
Jmmanuel had many consciousness powers greater than many, if not all living human beings, along with many followers. Jmmanuel was told he would be staked for spreading a new teaching. He could have had these men killed who wanted him staked if he wanted to, but instead, he did the uncommon thing and took his life into his own hands, and faced his circumstance with courage and certainty. He was beaten, spat upon, mocked, ridiculed and then staked for others to watch.
Strength, such as his, in the face of pain or grief....... this is courage. When the people follow the laws of nature, which are the laws of creation, laws and recommendations that expand into infinity, then, and only then, can he or she smile in the darkest caves, in the coldest of nights, and in the most hopeless of years.
