Indeed, the ideal is everyone should think for themselves, but few can actually do this.
Even those who are so disposed to a particular doctrine or teaching can, despite being taught to be 'self-responsible', become overly dependent on a source, a prophet, a teacher, a teaching and the like even if the teaching or prophet themselves teaches otherwise.
Of course, every human does make each and every decision for his/herself, but the naivety is sickening when there's the pretense that there isn't any external stimuli.
This is especially the case for humans of lower consciousness development, who often unhealthily cling to prophets, teachers, and their doctrines without any actual thought for themselves beyond a dogmatic approach of what they're learning.
Influencers of all kinds, from celebrities to artists, creators, politicians, and even your family; you yourself, and truly, EVERYONE is emitting influence.
The time has come that it's not just 'think for yourself', for this can easily be abused. The time has come to 'think for yourself and watch your influence.'
